I Do Love Snow, But…

The storm front that hit some states last week really affected a lot of people. There were accidents and casualties, incidents of power outages in some cities, especially in the Chicago area where illinois electricity was affected.

We can just be thankful that our state was spared from the storm. We’ve been raring to have snow, but if it will be a snow storm of the blizzard variety, then maybe it’s best to just forget about it. (“,)

Man-Made Wonders Amid the Wonder of Nature

When we took our recent road trip to Blue Ridge Parkway in October, the beauty of Autumn that you see in those colored trees was not the only thing that amazed me. The many tunnels that we passed through was unbelievable. I think there were ten or more of them – the first time that I have seen so many.

And they are not just tunnels. They are created in such a beautiful way, blending in with the topography and I do wonder how they did that. They probably had to use numerous welding supplies plus a bountiful energy of manpower to finish those. There were short ones, and there were also long ones which echoed whenever you passed through them. That was really amazing. I do hope we will be able to visit again in the future.

Southern Section Map of Blue Ridge Parkway

This map can be seen at the first overlook of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I don’t know how many years has it been there, but just by looking at it, you can tell that it has been there for years. But though it looks old, you can still read the map which my husband and son did. I only looked at it for a while because I was busy taking photos.

I think my photo didn’t do justice, huh? I’m sorry about that. It would have been nice if I was using a DSLR camera. Don’t worry, I will go back there once I get me one. (“,)
