Hot? Naaah, Not This Ol’ Girl

It has been feeling like fall since the start of the week, but today, it felt like summer again. It was so hot that it made me feel like I was burning fats while only sitting in front of the PC because I was sweating. So, no need for fat burners for me!

It is already evening and it is supposed to cool off now, but I can still feel the heat here inside the house. I can turn the A/C on if I want to, but it is still too early to do so. We’re saving energy as much as we can and since we will still have dinner and no one will be inside the bedroom, later. I can still take the heat anyway; I’m originally from the Philippines and this heat is nada compared to what I’m used to.

For Him, the Louder the Better!

During weekends, our home is either so quiet because we are out running errands or roaming the city, or the music is too loud because the husband is listening to music by his favorite artists, or the TV is at full blast as he watches his Atlanta Braves play.

He’s got four big speakers so just imagine how loud it can get. I can lower the volume if I want to, but I am enjoying the music too, so no problem, and I just tune out the ball game. I am actually thinking of getting him a new set of speakers because his speakers though still useful, are old. I already checked into an Energy speaker dealer, but still haven’t decided the what‘s what of things. I will keep on looking, checking and researching.

River Park

We were invited to a kiddie birthday party last month and it was held at the park near the river. It is actually called River Park. The photo is of the river that I took from the park. Isn’t it nice? It is and I was actually mesmerized by its beauty. It was our first time to have set foot on the park though we had passed by it a few times.

I forgot what the name of the river is. Sorry about that. I have to ask the husband about it. (“,)

I think the river runs to a few different states. I just don’t know exactly. Now, I need some researching, do I?

The Sun Hid Its Smile For Awhile Today

The day started nice today. The sun was out when we headed to the mall for some shopping. But the traffic was terrible and the heat of the sun got worse as the day went on. But it didn’t stay that way for long. It was raining when we got out of the mall which really surprised us.

I was a little disappointed because I only got to wear my new Persol sunglasses for a while. Hehe. The sun was hiding when we left the mall so there was no need for my sunglasses. Well, I can wear them even when it’s raining, but I chose not to. There will be more sun that will shine anyway.

Our Romance Continues to Blossom

Come Friday, my husband and I will be celebrating our 6th month of being married. Yep, we’re not married for a year yet, but we always celebrate the date every month, which is the fifth. That’s how sweet we can be.

I do wonder if he will buy flowers online again like what he did last month which really came as a surprise to me. I didn’t expect flowers since it’s not really our anniversary, but knowing him to be so sweet and romantic all the time, I can just hope for another surprise this Friday. He knows I so love flowers, especially roses and tulips. He got me a dozen roses last month. Maybe it will be a dozen of tulips this time. I can’t wait!

Red Berries

I never thought these berries are wild until I got here and personally saw them myself growing in our back yard. The kids enjoyed picking some of it a couple of weeks ago and this photo was actually taken by my son after a trip there to pick some. There are also black berries and they actually taste delicious, something that I never thought I would like.
