I Don’t Get in a Huff When I See Him Puff
I saw the husband and his stepson puffing their cigarettes when I went out on the front deck this morning. I teased them how come they haven’t upgraded to cigars yet when in fact the backwoods cigars price is really affordable. They laughed and retorted that they would if I will buy them. LOL.
I didn’t stay long with them and left them talking to each other because I couldn’t stand the smell of the smoke. I am not a smoker and I actually haven’t tried puffing even once. I just leave that to the husband. He’s been smoking since the time I’ve known him and I’ve already accepted that.
Picture Perfect
Our wedding is a picture of love and happiness. That phrase didn’t come from me, but from our friends who have seen our photos. A lot of them were not able to attend our union because of the distance. Nonetheless, our family captured lovely photos that will keep our memories of that day alive forever.
We didn’t hire raleigh wedding photographers, though we are in North Carolina, because our family decided that they would do the honors themselves since it was just a small wedding consisting mainly of family and close friends. But if given the chance to celebrate our 50th golden wedding anniversary, we will probably ask for their service.
Spectacular 4th of July Fireworks Display
I’ve blogged previously about mine and my son’s first celebration of 4th of July. And here’s the photos of the spectacular fireworks display that we’ve witnessed. The display lasted for more or less 15 minutes, but that is more than enough for us, and the other who saw it, to enjoy it. It was really awesome most especially that we watched it in a parking lot situated on top of a hill. Really cool!
Here’s one
And here’s the other one.
One Man’s Trash is Another’s Treasure
Today, the husband continued the project that he had started a month ago, and that’s building the planter in our front yard. The weather and our recent vacation prevented him from finishing it before summer began, and he’s still not finished; he’ll continue doing it, and hopefully finish, next weekend.
I think I will be able to start planting by winter. LOL. But I do know it’s not an easy job. All the tools in his tool shed were scattered everywhere when I checked on him earlier. The industrial bearings that he brought home from work were scattered on the floor. I don’t know where he’s going to use them, but he said he thought of picking them up after his boss man put them into the trash, saying they didn’t fit anything at the factory anymore. He thought that maybe he could use them in some future project here at the house. I do hope his company’s trash will be his treasure. (“,)
School’s Out!
Graduation ceremonies and celebrations are over. What graduation gifts high school did you choose and give? I didn’t buy anything and that is because nobody I knew graduated this year. But next year, there will be plenty of them.
One of my nieces will graduate high school, and the other niece plus a nephew will graduate grade school. Gosh! They are growing so fast which makes me feel so old. LOL. Nevertheless, I am so proud of their accomplishments. They are all doing good in school and I can’t wait for them to all have their degrees and make their parents proud.
Before the Much-Awaited 4th of July Fireworks
I took this photo while waiting for the 9 o’clock fireworks display. I took this at around 8:30, I think. The car park was already full of people waiting for the event. The husband was the one who thought of watching it from there and it was such a perfect location because it is located on the hill so we can really see the fireworks clearly without no hindrances at all. Not to mention, we don’t have to deal with the traffic that for certain, downtown was having during that time.
See those mountains from afar, that’s where the fireworks were.
The right side of the car park. Lotsa cars.
