Rainy Tuesday
The day started gloomy, but as the weather forecast says, there will be rain today and so there was. It wasn’t a heavy downpour though, but a constant rain shower that started around mid-morning. It has stopped now, I guess, since I couldn’t hear the pitter patter of the raindrops on the roof anymore. It has been a cold day as always. It is still winter after all so it is given.
But this cold weather, though something new to me, didn’t change my attitude towards my day-to-day living at all. Back home, rainy days which are our cold days make me lazy and I would almost always opt to go to bed. But not here. I know cold weather is simply conducive for sleeping, but I wonder what would happen if I will just always nap the whole day and every single day. You bet, I wouldn’t be productive at all. Not a good idea, huh?
Icicles
Aren’t they cute? These were on our kitchen window. Seeing them the first time really amazed me. Actually, it was my son who saw them first and then he told me. They are starting to melt now though since Mr. Sun is already up and the snow on the ground is starting to disappear too. Everybody’s been waiting for the snow to vanish and that would be anytime soon. But winter is still not over so I think we will still have more snow in the future as well as more icicles.
White Christmas
I’ve always dreamed of a White Christmas and my dream was really granted. It was mine and my son’s first celebration of Christmas here at Uncle Sam’s last year and we never thought we’d really have it because there was no snow on Christmas Eve. Until we’ve read the forecast that there will be about 6 to 10 inches of snow coming on Christmas Day. And there was really snow. It started to fall at mid-morning and in just about a few hours, the surrounding was already filled with snow. It was really lovely! Everything was just white and fluffy. Here were some of the photos I’ve taken.
